Wormy Maple
At Custom Woodwork Designs, we use a variety of materials to create each piece. For this table top, we used wormy maple. It is similar to beetle kill pine in that the “defects” from the worms moving through the wood is what makes it unique and desirable. It gives the wood character and depth.
